South Africa and Kenya strengthen cooperation

South Africa and Kenya have signed six new memorandums of understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fields of trade, maritime transport, professional development, gender equality, sports, arts and culture.
The agreements were signed during Kenyan President William Ruto's state visit to South Africa, bringing the total number of bilateral agreements and memoranda between the two countries to 34.
Among the most important signed agreements is the Memorandum of Understanding on Trade Facilitation. The agreement is expected to improve market access for businesses in both countries by removing technical barriers to trade and harmonizing standards.
