Zimbabwe's monthly exports exceeded $1 billion for the first time

According to Zimbabwe's National Statistical Agency (ZimStats), Zimbabwe's export revenue reached $1.44 billion in June 2026. This is 63% more than exports in May, when Zimbabwe sold goods worth $884 million.
Among the main goods exported in June 2026 were semi-finished products made of gold (40.5%), nickel matte (22.2%) and other minerals (14.4%). These products accounted for 77% of all exports.
The growth was driven by demand from the United Arab Emirates (583.8 million US dollars), South Africa (443.2 million dollars) and China (304.4 million dollars), which together accounted for 92% of exports for the month.
Export receipts for the first half of the year increased by 52% to $5.89 million from $3.87 million last year. The UAE (48%), South Korea (25%) and China (17%) are the main export destinations in the first half of this year.
