Uganda's exports increased by 63%

According to an economic performance report released by the Ugandan Ministry of Finance, the country's export revenues reached $1.37 billion in February 2026, up 63% from the same period a year earlier.
The growth was largely driven by gold exports, which more than doubled (from $318.71 million in 2025 to $818.16 million in 2026), driven by higher global prices and increased demand from central banks.
Revenues from coffee exports reached $180.98 million, and volumes increased from 555,756 bags weighing 60 kg to 651,933 bags.
