Turkey to build spaceport in Somalia

Turkey has begun implementing a project to build a spaceport in Somalia.
Somalia has already allocated a site for the project, which is being implemented as part of a cooperation agreement between Mogadishu and Ankara.
Upon completion, the facility will become a launch pad for Turkish rockets and will be integrated into the global commercial space market.
Somalia was chosen to host the space port due to its location near the equator and its technical advantages for launching spacecraft.
