Tunisian revenues from olive oil exports increased by 45%

According to the National Observatory of Agriculture, Tunisia's revenue from olive oil exports in the eight months from November 2025 to the end of June 2026 reached 4,394.5 million dinars, or about $1.48 billion, an increase of 45% compared to the same period last year.
Export volumes increased by 56.7% to 352,000 tons. Packaged olive oil accounted for 13.7% of total export volumes, while the remaining 86.3% consisted of bulk olive oil.
The European Union remained the leading market for Tunisian olive oil exports, absorbing 56.8% of total volumes. It was followed by North America (24.2%), Asia (11.3%) and Africa (3.9%).
Spain remains the largest importer of Tunisian olive oil, accounting for 32.4% of total exports, ahead of Italy with 19.7% and the United States with 19.4%.
