Tunisia plans to expand Carthage Airport

Tunisia is seeking to expand its main Carthage International Airport by quadrupling its capacity. The project cost is approximately 1 billion dollars.
The plans include the construction of a new terminal with an area of about 80,000 square meters, in which more check-in counters and security lanes will be added.
Tunisia's tourism sector has grown significantly since Covid. In 2024 alone, the airport handled about 7.2 million passengers.
