Tunisia accelerates digitalization of healthcare

The Tunisian Ministry of Health and the telecommunications company Tunisia Telecom have agreed to cooperate in the digitalization of the country's healthcare system.
In the coming years, a whole range of measures is planned aimed at improving the quality of medical care and bringing medical services closer to citizens. These include access to high-speed Internet in all medical institutions, the introduction of artificial intelligence, and the creation of a modern digital contact center designed to facilitate communication between citizens and health authorities.
Special attention is paid to digital sovereignty. The Ministry has confirmed plans to implement 100% Tunisian cloud solutions to protect national medical data, ensure enhanced security, confidentiality and local control of confidential medical information.
