The market of African animated films will open in Côte d'Ivoire
The first African Animated Film Market (MAFA) will open in Abidjan in November 2026. The event will bring together broadcasters, producers, directors, students and industry professionals from Africa and the rest of the world. The organizers expect that about 10,000 people will take part in the event.
The aim of this initiative is to create an animation film industry in Côte d'Ivoire, support African professionals in the industry, and expand co-production opportunities across the continent. In addition, the African animation film market will become a strategic platform for attracting and educating African youth.
