The United States and the African Union have agreed to develop infrastructure in Africa

US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and Chairman of the African Union Commission Mahmoud Ali Yusuf held talks in Addis Ababa, following which the establishment of the US-African Union Strategic Infrastructure and Investment Working Group (SIWG) was announced.
The Working Group's activities will focus on developing infrastructure that promotes trade and logistics, as well as digital transformation across the continent.
