The Gulf states invested more than $100 billion in Africa

Over the past decade, the Gulf states have collectively invested more than $100 billion in Africa. The UAE accounts for approximately $59 billion. Saudi Arabia's contribution is approximately $26 billion.
The capital of the Gulf states is concentrated around energy, ports, logistics, agriculture and mining, in particular, copper, cobalt and lithium. It is these industries that underpin Africa's long-term economic growth.
According to Global Finance magazine, in 2023 alone, Gulf investors announced 73 foreign direct investment projects worth more than $53 billion across the continent.
