Tanzania reserves land for investment
The Minister of Land Resources of Tanzania instructed the regions and districts to allocate special sites for industrial clusters in order to attract investment and prevent conflicts in the field of land use.
It is planned that 10% of the territory of municipalities will be allocated for business and industrial investments. Local authorities should make appropriate changes to the Master Plan, as well as conduct a strategic environmental assessment of the allocated sites.
Tanzania has previously allocated land for industrial use. The previous Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa, announced in 2025 that 127,859 acres of land had been allocated across the country for these purposes.
