Sudan's economy is gradually recovering

Since 2020, the Sudanese economy has been experiencing a deep recession due to macroeconomic imbalances, declining production capacity, financial difficulties and conflicts.
According to the Bank's estimates, real GDP rose to 1.2% in 2025 after a sharp decline of 13.5% in 2024, thanks to agricultural production and the gradual recovery of the service sector.
A moderate recovery in economic growth is forecast to 2.1% in 2026 and 3.2% in 2027, along with a gradual improvement in the financial balance and a decrease in inflation. However, the prospects remain uncertain due to external and internal conflicts.
