South African researchers have discovered new objects in space

The South African MeerKAT telescope is mapping the spaces between galaxies and has discovered 60 new structures in space.
Using the powerful MeerKAT radio telescope, South African researchers have mapped the universe with faint scattered radio emission, which shows the energy processes taking place in the vast spaces between galaxies when clusters of galaxies collide or merge.
A study conducted by specialists from the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory has identified 103 scattered sources, including 60 structures that were previously completely invisible to previous generations of telescopes. Observations of these structures help us understand how gravity, magnetism, and matter behave across the universe.
