Rwanda to buy Russian weapons

The 7th session of the Rwanda-Russia intergovernmental commission on military-technical cooperation was held in Kigali from May 20 to 22.
The Russian representatives exchanged views with their Rwandan counterparts on the current state of bilateral military cooperation and discussed new contracts for the supply of equipment.
Rwandans mainly buy Mi-17 helicopters and spare parts from Russia. Earlier, the possibility of supplying air defense systems was also discussed.
