Rwanda is switching to new technologies

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and Innovation of Rwanda has held talks with importers of mobile devices in preparation for the next stage of the country's digital transition, aimed at phasing out 2G and 3G-enabled devices.
According to the ministry, the meeting participants discussed expanding access to modern devices that support advanced digital services so that as many Rwandans as possible can take full advantage of the country's digital transformation.
The phasing out of old-generation networks is part of a broader effort to strengthen Rwanda's digital ecosystem, improve the quality of services, and accelerate the adoption of more efficient and promising technologies throughout the country.
