Rwanda invites investors
On June 26, an investment forum was held in the Bugesera industrial zone in Rwanda, where it was announced that about 70 more factories are planned to be placed in the territory within 4-5 years. Thus, a total of about 100 enterprises will operate in the zone.
The Bugesera industrial zone covers an area of 335.67 hectares and will expand by another 100 hectares in the next few years. It includes production buildings, roads, electrical networks, water supply systems and wastewater treatment facilities.
Currently, the industrial zone has 27 factories, with 12 already operational while others are under construction or undergoing administrative processes. The 12 operating factories in the zone employ approximately 1,500 people.
There are a total of 10 industrial parks and special economic zones in Rwanda, in which more than 320 factories are located.
