Nigeria will diversify its economy

On Wednesday, the federal government launched the Nigeria Beyond the Oil and Gas Alliance program, designed for two years and aimed at assessing economic risks and opportunities in the country's changing energy landscape.
Presenting the program, Nigerian Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Atiku Bagudu stated that diversification is not only about reducing dependence on oil revenues, but also about applying science and technology to traditional sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, mining and woodworking to generate higher profits, taking into account climatic conditions.
As examples, the Minister mentioned Norway and the Netherlands, which, being technologically advanced states, support and develop agriculture and fisheries.
