Nigeria will allocate more than 500 million dollars for the construction of highways

The Nigerian government has signed contracts with contractors for the construction and reconstruction of major roads in the southwest and northwest of the country worth more than 690 billion Nigerian naira (more than 500 million dollars).
The contracts include four major road projects in the states of Kaduna (122 km), Osun (70 and 73 km), Oyo and Ogun (114.5 km long highway connecting the two states). All roads will be built using continuous reinforced concrete pavement technology and should serve Nigerians for decades.
Minister of Construction David Umahi thanked the contractors for their expertise and previous results, highlighting the government's growing confidence in local construction firms. He called on the companies to immediately start construction and ensure that high-quality work is completed within the agreed time frame.
