Nigeria and Morocco to build gas pipeline

By the end of the year, Nigeria and Morocco will sign an intergovernmental agreement on the construction of an African-Atlantic gas pipeline worth $ 25 billion. The length of the new gas pipeline will be about 6900 km. It is expected that up to 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year will be transported through it.
The construction of the gas pipeline will be carried out in several stages. The first stage will connect Morocco with the gas fields of Mauritania and Senegal. Then Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire will be connected to the pipeline. The final section will connect Ghana with Nigeria's gas fields.
