Niger has issued a biometric identity card

The registration process of the biometric identity card of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), a common document of Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso aimed at strengthening regional integration, has begun in Niger.

The system contains encrypted biometric data in accordance with ICAO standards and is aimed at improving mobility and receiving public services in the space of the three AES states.
