New information cable connects Africa and Europe
Tunisia, after completing the offshore deployment and technical testing, commissioned ViaTunisia, a segment of the Medusa submarine cable that connected Bizerte and Marseille.
The project is expected to enhance network resilience, support the growth of AI-driven data traffic, and boost digital exchanges between Europe and North Africa.
The infrastructure, designed for a 25-year service life, is co-financed by the European Union, which covers 30% of construction and management costs.
