Africa is the 2nd continent on Earth in area with a great amount of natural resources. There are more than 50 countries with fast growing economies and 1.5 bln population here. Africa today offers big opportunities for business and investment.

Namibia will produce oil

Oil giants Chevron and Rhino Resources plan to start drilling appraisal oil wells in Namibia in 2026.

Chevron is currently conducting exploration at two main offshore sites in Namibia: the Walvis Basin and the Orange Basin. It is planned to start drilling an oil well at the last site in August 2026.

Rhino Resources also plans to start drilling the first well within a few months at Capricornus.

Namibia plans to start oil production in 2030.
