Liberia will develop a large gold deposit

Mansa Resources has announced its intention to invest approximately US$ 600 million in the development of the Liberian Dugbe Gold mining project. The project is being implemented under a 25-year mining agreement with the Government of Liberia.
The Dugbe project, covering an area of over 2,300 square kilometers, is one of the largest undeveloped gold deposits in West Africa. In 2022, the gold reserves here were estimated at approximately 2.76 million ounces. Production is expected to average about 200,000 ounces of gold per year during the first five years of operation.
Mansa Resources is a Dubai–based mining company established to manage mines in West Africa. The company emerged after acquiring key mining assets from the British mining company Hummingbird Resources Plc, which operated gold mining projects in Mali, Guinea and Liberia.
