Liberia seeks $900 million to modernize port

 

 

The Government of Liberia has unveiled a US$ 900 million modernization plan for the port infrastructure.

 

The 5-year plan includes the expansion and deepening of the Freeport of Monrovia, the construction of a dry port between Ganta and Saclepea in Nimba County, roads and railways, which will directly link domestic production areas with maritime trade routes and improve cargo handling efficiency.
