Lesotho will receive $209 million to boost its economy

The African Development Bank Group has presented an economic strategy for the Kingdom of Lesotho, which outlines an ambitious development program for the state for the period from 2025 to 2030.
The strategy, backed by a $209 million action program, focuses on two priority areas: infrastructure development in the fields of energy, information and communication technology, and water supply, as well as institutional capacity-building to improve public sector efficiency and private sector competitiveness.
The African Development Bank Group has been cooperating with Lesotho since 1973. Currently, its active portfolio includes seven projects totaling $49 million, covering water supply and sanitation, communications, public administration, and energy.
