Kenya's economy to grow by 4.6%

Kenya’s economy remained resilient in 2025 despite tighter global financial conditions, geopolitical tensions, trade fragmentation and commodity-price volatility.
Real GDP growth increased to an estimated 5.0% in 2025 from 4.7% in 2024, supported by services, industry and recovering investment. Inflation eased, the exchange rate stabilized and foreign exchange reserves improved.
Growth is projected at 4.6% in 2026 but remains vulnerable to climate shocks, higher energy prices, tighter global financing conditions and political uncertainty ahead of the 2027 elections.
