Kenya will improve the quality of tea

The Kenyan government will allocate 3.5 billion shillings ($27 million) to modernize the tea industry and bring it in line with international standards. This will improve the quality of Kenyan tea and increase sales of the product at the Mombasa tea auction.
The Ministry of Agriculture also announced new purchase prices for farmers, increasing them by one and a half times, from 16 to 26 shillings per kilogram.
