Insurance companies to sign a pan-African pact

From 6 to 8 July 2026, the Federation of African National Insurance Companies (FANAF) will host the General Assembly "Insurance for All" in Cotonou, the largest city and financial capital of Benin, which will be attended by about 400 representatives of the continent's insurance companies.
According to FANAF President Mamadou Koné, the discussions will lead to the adoption of the Pan-African Pact for Insurance Inclusion and a 2026-2030 strategic action plan aimed at doubling the insurance penetration rate across Africa by 2040.
FANAF is a professional association that includes 203 African insurance companies. Its headquarters are located in Dakar, Senegal. The organization plays a crucial role in the development and regulation of the insurance industry in Africa.
