Ghana's economy grew by 6%

Ghana's economy grew 6.0% in the second quarter of 2026, compared with 6.6% a year earlier, according to data released by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS).
Only the information and communication technology sector, which grew by 30.9%, provided 41.5% growth in the quarter, resulting in 6.2% growth in the first half of the year.
The services sector accounted for 57.6% of the total growth, while oil and gas production increased by 21.4% after last year's decline. Agriculture slowed to 3.9%, affected by a 24.7% reduction in fishing.
