Ghana modernizes railway

Ghana has received more than $21 million in funding from the European Union to modernize the Tema-Mpakadan railway line, a strategic infrastructure linking the port of Tema with the interior of the country.
This funding is part of the European Union's broader support for transport infrastructure development in West Africa and aims to improve logistics links, reduce transport costs and strengthen regional trade.
The Tema-Mpakadan railway is a key element of the Eastern Transport Corridor and regional economic integration.
