Gambia to build centers of excellence

The Gambia intends to strengthen technical and vocational education by establishing two centers of excellence aimed at training skilled workers for the country's growing agribusiness and fisheries sectors.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology of the Gambia has approved the final design and architectural drawings for the construction of the centers. The total cost of the project is estimated at 13 million dollars.
The centers will house laboratories with modern equipment, innovation and incubation clusters, engineering workshops, classrooms, staff quarters, nurseries and multifunctional halls.
