Gabon opened its national data center

Gabon has taken a significant step in its digital transformation journey with the inauguration of its first Tier III international-standard data center, a move aimed at strengthening the country’s digital sovereignty and expanding its digital infrastructure.
The data center provides a high level of reliability, availability and security. The facility will enable government institutions and businesses to host sensitive data locally, reducing dependence on foreign data infrastructure while improving data protection and operational resilience.
The data center is expected to support digital public services, strengthen cybersecurity capabilities, facilitate artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and provide secure infrastructure for businesses, helping drive innovation and economic growth.
