Ethiopia's exports exceed $13 billion

Ethiopia's export revenues in the fiscal year 2025-2026 exceeded the planned targets of 9.4 billion dollars by almost 2 billion dollars and reached 11.2 billion dollars. The most sought–after goods are gold and coffee.
Ethiopia's export target for the next fiscal year, 2026-2027, is set at $13.4 billion. The new goal provides for a further increase in external sales by about 20%.
To ensure such growth, the Government pays special attention to increasing value added, product quality, market diversification, modernization of trading systems and logistics improvement.
