Ethiopia to build Africa's largest airport

Construction of a new international airport has begun in Ethiopia.
The airport in Bishoftu, about 40 kilometers from Addis Ababa, will become the largest in Africa and one of the largest in the world. At the first stage, it will be able to accommodate up to 60 million passengers per year, and in the future — up to 110 million.
The project includes an airport, a modern multi-level highway to the capital and a 38-kilometer high-speed railway.
The financing has been partially provided by the African Development Bank, and negotiations are underway with foreign banks and investors. This project could be interesting for Russian companies as well.
