Ethiopia expands network of electric vehicle charging stations
State Minister of Transport and Logistics of Ethiopia Bareo Hassen opened the fourth large electric vehicle fast charging station in Addis Ababa, built as part of the implementation of the clean transport master plan.
Speaking at the ceremony, Bareo said the government is accelerating the installation of chargers across the country to meet the growing demand for electric vehicle services.
The Minister also said that engineering and design work is currently underway to install 16 modern electric vehicle charging stations along the strategic Ethio-Djibouti trade corridor.
