Eswatini opens a digital academy for women
Eswatini became the first country in Africa to launch the She Powers Africa Digital Academy program with the support of the UAE. The purpose of the program is to train women working in government institutions in digital technology skills.
The first group will include 50 women who will learn how to apply digital technologies, including artificial intelligence and database operations, in public service. If successful, the program will be implemented in other countries of the continent.
For Eswatini, participating in the project is not the first experience of working with digital technologies. The Digital Eswatini project is already operating in the country, which aims to strengthen digital opportunities in the public sector, but programs focused on specific sectors of the economy have not yet been implemented.
