Electricity production in Ethiopia has reached 10,000 MW

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Assela wind farm, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said that the country's electricity production has grown from 4,000 to 10,000 MW in 6-7 years.
The construction cost of the Assela wind farm with a capacity of 100 MW was about 145 million euros, which were provided by the Danish government in the form of grants and a concessional loan. Investments in this project are expected to pay off within two years.
