Egypt to double non-oil exports

Egyptian Industry Minister Khaled Hashim announced on May 3, 2026, a goal to increase non-oil exports to $99 billion by 2030. The strategy is aimed at expanding local production, intermediate industries, and high-value-added products.
The government is also accelerating the digitalization of trade with a new platform developed jointly with Microsoft to increase export competitiveness and reduce dependence on imports.
According to the Ministry of Industry, Egypt's non-oil exports in 2025 amounted to about $48.5 billion.
