Egypt attracted $335 million in investments in August

At the end of August 2026, the General Directorate of the Suez Canal Economic Zone announced the signing of two investment agreements worth about $ 335 million, as well as several contracts for the storage and use of renewable energy sources.
According to the head of the administration, Walid Gamal El-Din, Cairo is striving to increase the attractiveness of the Suez Canal zone as a regional industrial and logistics center. Over three years and nine months, we have managed to attract about $16 billion in investments.
