Cocoa exports in Liberia increased by 54%
In Liberia, cocoa exports have increased significantly. According to the Liberia Agriculture Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA), Liberia sold 54% more cocoa to other countries in 2025 than a year earlier. During the reporting period, cocoa exports increased from 23,823 metric tons in 2024 to 36,609 metric tons in 2025, increasing revenue from 934,000 to 2.2 million US dollars.
For coffee, the results remain stable, with coffee exports remaining at 125 metric tons in 2024 and 2025. However, Liberia is actively promoting the Coffee Liberica initiative, participating in the Inter-African Coffee Organization, and plans to seriously increase the production of this drink in the future. About 400,000 Liberica coffee seedlings are grown in the country's nurseries for this purpose.
