Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea launch gas project

Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea have signed an agreement on a cross-border gas project.
Neighboring countries will produce natural gas at the Yoyo Yolanda field. The deposit is located in the coastal waters between the two countries, one part of which is located in the territorial zone of Equatorial Guinea, and the other in the waters of Cameroon. The proven reserves of natural gas are about 70 billion cubic meters.
The resulting natural gas will be liquefied at a specialized center in Punta Europa in Equatorial Guinea, as well as piped to Cameroon.
The project operators are Noble Energy Cameroon and Noble Energy Equatorial Guinea. Both belong to the American company Chevron.
