Burkina Faso nationalizes cotton company

Burkina Faso bought out the remaining 5,537% of the private stake in Sofitex, making the state its sole shareholder.

According to the Ministry of Industry of Burkina Faso, Sofitex provides about 80% of national cotton production, which is the country's main export commodity.
