Burkina Faso develops road infrastructure

Burkina Faso has ratified three loan agreements worth more than $526 million to modernize its transport infrastructure.
The projects will build over 300 km of paved roads, develop more than 200 km of rural roads and upgrade regional transport corridors, including the route to Côte d’Ivoire.
The new road infrastructure will improve regional connectivity and reduce transportation costs, which account for up to 45% of the cost of imports in landlocked African countries.
