Botswana to help Ivory Coast extract minerals

Botswana and Côte d'Ivoire signed their first mining and energy cooperation agreement in Gaborone.

The agreement, signed by Botswana Minister Bogolo Joy Kenewendo and Côte d'Ivoire Minister Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly, covers geological exploration, mining of diamonds, gold and other important minerals.

Abidjan is committed to using Botswana's mining management model to develop its geological potential.
