Botswana Diamonds will mine copper and gold

Botswana Diamonds, a diamond mining company, has received eight licenses to explore new copper deposits.
The total area of the territory on which geological exploration will be carried out is about 7,000 km2. Prospects for copper with additional potential for gold and other minerals have been identified in the licensed areas.
The new sites were selected from the company's general database using artificial intelligence. This technology has previously helped to discover six previously unregistered areas rich in kimberlites, for which the company also holds licenses.
The company said that negotiations have already begun with potential partners on the creation of a joint venture for exploration work.
