Boeing predicts rapid development of air transportation in Africa

Boeing has published a report on the prospects for the development of the air transportation market in Africa.
According to experts, passenger traffic in Africa will increase by an average of 6% per year until 2044, driven by a young population, a growing middle class, rapid urbanization and significant investments in airport infrastructure.
The fleet of commercial aircraft in Africa will more than double in two decades and reach approximately 1,680 aircraft by 2044.
To service new equipment and new destinations, airlines will need to train about 74,000 new aviation professionals, including pilots, maintenance technicians, and flight attendants.
