Artificial Intelligence University to open in Ethiopia

Speaking to members of the House of People's Representatives, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced that Ethiopia's first artificial intelligence university will become operational in a few months. The University will become the second largest educational institution of its kind in the world.
The Prime Minister also reported on the progress of the "Five Million Programmers" initiative, aimed at teaching young people how to work with modern computer technologies. According to him, about 3 million programmers have already been trained.
The widespread introduction of modern technologies in the country is carried out as part of the implementation of the Digital Ethiopia 2030 strategy, which was officially presented in Addis Ababa last December.
