Angola's oil revenues increased by 55%
Angola's oil export revenues increased sharply in mid-2026, helped by higher crude oil prices.
According to experts, Angola sold oil in the amount of 8.91 billion US dollars in the 2nd quarter of 2026, which is 55% higher than the amount earned in the same period last year.
China remains the largest buyer of crude oil in Angola, followed by India. European and Asian countries such as Spain and Indonesia account for a smaller share of Angolan exports.
Natural gas also grew this quarter. Exports of Angolan liquefied natural gas (LNG) in 2026 increased compared to 2025, but the exact volumes and revenues for the 2nd quarter of 2026 have not yet been published by official sources.
In 2026, Angolan LNG exports are mainly targeted at Asian buyers, including India, Bangladesh and Thailand.
