Angola invests $73 million in tourism

The Angolan Government has approved the allocation of 73 million US dollars for the development of the Okavango region as the country's main tourist destination.

The $73 million contract includes technical research, design work, financing of energy, water supply, telecommunications, as well as the construction of roads, footpaths, observation decks, recreation areas and tourist facilities.

The Okavango approval is part of a broader national tourism development plan. Angola is investing in various facilities. For example, the first safari camp was opened in the Luengue-Luiana National Park in Cuando province.

The Okavango project is relevant for investors in construction, utilities and telecommunications. It also opens up opportunities for hotel business operators.
