Angola earned $31 billion from oil and diamond sales

According to official Angolan export data for 2025, the mining and oil and gas sectors generated $31.3 billion in export revenue. Hydrocarbons and diamonds collectively accounted for 97.88% of national exports.
In 2025, Angola's main export commodity was crude oil, generating approximately $24.5 billion for the country. Natural gas exports brought in approximately $3.24 billion. China remains the key buyer of Angolan oil, accounting for nearly 58.5% of exports.
In 2025, the mining sector experienced significant growth. Diamond production reached 15.2 million carats, which is 7.9% more than in 2024. Export sales were even higher – 17.7 million carats, which brought Angola about 1.79 billion US dollars.
